Which model do I need?

All four are the same design. Choose on two questions.

How much height do your idols need? Standard gives 16 inches of inner clearance, Large gives 18. Measure your tallest idol including its base, and add room for a crown or a small diya.

Do you need it raised off the floor? The bajot is a matching low platform. Choose a mandir-plus-bajot model if it will sit on the floor and you want it at seated eye level, or if you want the option of pulling the bajot out as a separate altar.

Wipe with a dry cloth. Keep out of direct sunlight so the painted finish holds its colour. Do not use water or solvent cleaners on the hand-painted surface.

Does the mandir arrive assembled?

Yes. It ships fully assembled. The only step is flipping the decorative crown into position — no tools, no construction.

Does it include an interior light?

No. The mandir includes a drawer, a tray and brass bells. The interior is open and unlit, which lets you fit an LED pooja light of your choice.

Can I keep a lit diya inside?

Use the pull-out drawer. Slide it open and set the diya there, so the flame sits in open air rather than inside the closed cabinet. Keep it clear of the doors and the painted surfaces, and do not leave it burning unattended.

How much does the drawer hold?

Your everyday pooja essentials — a kumkum box, an incense packet, karpoor, matches, a small bell. It is sized for daily items rather than bulk storage, so a large thali or a stack of boxes will want a home elsewhere.

What size idols will fit?

The 30" model gives 16"H × 22"W × 11"D of interior space. The 32" model gives 18"H × 22"W × 11"D. Measure your tallest murti including its base, and leave room above it for a crown or a small diya.

Is the bajot included?

Only on Models 3 and 4. Models 1 and 2 are the mandir alone. The bajot is a matching 6" platform, 24" × 12", that raises the mandir to seated eye level and can also be used separately.

How much does it weigh?

The mandir alone is 12.5 kg — about 27.5 lb. With the bajot, Models 3 and 4 come to 19.7 kg, close to 43 lb. Plan on two people to move it into position.

Can it be wall mounted?

It is built as a floor-standing unit and weighs 12.5 kg, so it does not ship with mounting hardware. Some customers do have it wall mounted by a professional installer. If that is your plan, have it anchored into studs by someone who fits heavy furniture for a living.

What is it made of?

Solid mango wood, hand-painted in white and gold with hand-embossed detailing. Every piece is finished by hand in India, so small variations in the painting are normal.

It's a good Mandir and I like it but the doors and the quality of it could have been a bit better. Little effort needed to open the doors but I think since it's new, it might be a bit hard to open.
The built-in drawer is pretty small and it could've been a bit bigger with soft close sliders. One small complaint is that it will be good to have a light inside the mandir and that would've changed the overall look of it. I had to buy separate led lights off of Home Depot and install it.
