A pooja mandir is a home temple — the cabinet that holds deity idols, diyas and puja essentials in a Hindu household. This is the walnut brown version in solid mango wood, 32 inches tall with brass bells and carved doors. The darker finish sits well against wood floors and traditional furniture, where a white mandir can look stark.

Which model do I need?

Both models are the same mandir, 32"H × 24"W × 12"D with 18"H × 22"W × 11"D of interior space. The only question is whether you want the bajot.

  • Mandir only — the temple on its own, 12.5 kg
  • Mandir + bajot — adds a matching 6"H × 24"W × 12"D platform that raises the mandir to seated eye level, and can be pulled out and used as a separate altar. 19.7 kg together

Frequently asked questions

Does it arrive assembled?
Yes. It ships fully assembled — no tools and no construction. The only step is flipping the decorative crown into position.
Does it include an interior light?
No. The interior is open and unlit, which lets you fit an LED pooja light of your choice.
Can I keep a lit diya inside?
Use the pull-out drawer. Slide it open and set the diya there, so the flame sits in open air rather than inside the closed cabinet. Keep it clear of the doors and the painted surfaces, and do not leave it burning unattended.
What size idols will fit?
The interior is 18"H × 22"W × 11"D. Measure your tallest murti including its base, and leave room above it for a crown or a small diya.
Is the bajot included?
Only on the Mandir + Bajot model. The mandir-only model is the temple alone.
How much does it weigh?
The mandir alone is 12.5 kg — about 27.5 lb. With the bajot it comes to 19.7 kg, close to 43 lb. Plan on two people to move it into position.
Can it be wall mounted?
No. This is a floor-standing unit at 12.5 kg and does not ship with mounting hardware.
What is it made of?
Solid mango wood, finished with hand-embossed painting. Every piece is painted by hand in India, so small variations in the detailing are normal and are a mark of the craft rather than a defect.
How do I care for it?
Wipe with a dry cloth. Keep it out of direct sunlight so the painted finish holds its colour, and avoid water or solvent cleaners on the hand-painted surface.
What if it arrives damaged?
Shipping is insured and we cover transit damage. Photograph the damage and email contact@urliutsav.com and we will replace it or make it right.
Can I return it?
Yes, within 30 days, in original condition and packaging. Return shipping is arranged and paid by the customer, so for an item this size please measure your space before ordering.
